Media will Never Influence Learning and When each one has one

Media has had great influence on learning,both negatively and positively. I disagree with the article in saying that media will never have a effect of a students learning. Technology can be used to enhance lessons in the classroom and grab the attention of students, especially in this day and age. Students are influenced by media and technology everyday and at times know more about it than teachers do. Teachers have to figure out a way to use technology as a successful tool for students success in the classroom. I enjoyed the " When each one has one..." article. The laptop study was interesting and before I read it I assumed that each student having their own computer would be a huge distraction to the teacher and their learning. According to the article the students and teachers had positive experiences from the study. I think that technology can be beneficial as long as it is used in a structured manner. The teachers have to be knowledgeable of new technology and capable of using it for instruction, keeping the students on task.
